Ruthie Taylor

As an engagement manager at GHV, Ruthie works in a cross-cutting role focused on global health institutions (WHO and UNICEF) and global health innovations. Within her portfolio, Ruthie brings more than a decade of experience and a focus on organizational development, strategic planning, grant management, research, and cross-team coordination. She has worked with several teams at the Gates Foundation in policy, advocacy and health.

Passionate about women’s health and rights, Ruthie previously served as an independent consultant with clients including GAVI, the Sabin Vaccine Alliance, and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Additionally, as the organizational development manager at White Ribbon Alliance (WRA), Ruthie led organizational strengthening efforts, strategic planning, and co-chaired the Alliance’s monitoring and evaluation committee. She has also served as the associate director of the White House Visitors Office under the Obama Administration and a program associate for the Mobile Alliance for Maternal Action (MAMA) housed at the United Nations Foundation (UNF).

Ruthie holds an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a graduate certificate in monitoring and evaluation from American University, and a BA from George Washington University.

Outside of work, you can usually find Ruthie at the neighbourhood playground, on the golf course, or lost in a novel. Ruthie lives in Portland, Maine with her husband, Mike, and two-year old son, Charlie.
