Andrew Plumley

As a senior consultant at GHV, Andrew supports the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Center of Excellence.  Andrew’s approach integrates a global perspective, leveraging insights from different regions and industries to foster greater understanding, impact, and equity.

With more than 15 years of experience, Andrew specializes in global organizational development, cross-cultural leadership, and strategy consulting.  

Outside of GHV, as the founder and CEO of Know Better Do Better Consulting, Andrew collaborates with organizations across sectors globally to drive transformative change in strategy, organizational design, and equity. Previously, Andrew was the chief people and equity officer at Arabella Advisors and the senior director of equity and culture at the American Alliance of Museums, where he led both U.S.-based and international initiatives.  

He holds a BA in philosophy from Middlebury College and an MBA from the University of Vermont, with a focus on social and environmental sustainability. He has lived and worked in multiple countries and currently resides in Washington, DC.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys traveling, taking care of his numerous plants, engaging with art and museums, and supporting local organizations that promote social impact initiatives.
