A senior consultant with GHV, Michelle supports a large famidy-owned philanthropy with strategy development, facilitation, project management, executive meeting preparation, and cross-team learning events in agricultural Development. She brings deep expertise working with philanthropy and non-profits at the intersection of strategy, learning, execution, and impact to her portfolio.
Michelle is a passionate and collaborative self-starter. She has over a decade of experience in social impact, working on agriculture, energy, and climate.
Prior to GHV, Michelle worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, most recently serving as the senior portfolio officer for the Agricultural Development team. While there, she led strategy development and planning, operations and process improvement, partnership development, internal communications and knowledge management, and monitoring and learning initiatives. She also worked as a strategy consultant for Accenture delivering projects on customer experience and digital strategy, customer analytics and segmentation, and new product and service design for electric and gas utility clients. She has experience in climate policy and advocacy at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
Michelle holds an MBA and MS in environmental science from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and a BA in Environmental Studies from Yale University. She lives with her husband, two children, and dog in Seattle, WA.
