As an engagement manager at GHV, Katy works primarily with the Policy, Advocacy, and Communications teams at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Katy brings a strong focus on strategy development and execution, thought partnership, stakeholder engagement, cross-team coordination, policy, advocacy, resource mobilization, and project management expertise.
Katy’s 14 years of experience working in global health, development, and policy spans philanthropy, private, government, and international organizations. She specializes in reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH), resource mobilization, policy and advocacy, strategy development, planning and execution, stakeholder engagement, research, and project management.
Katy has executed projects and deliverables across the world – working with organizations such as the Global Financing Facility, Family Planning 2023, AVAC, International Development Association (IDA), World Bank, White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood, the State of Kansas, U.S. Congress, and spent 6 years at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation working with their Executive, Global Policy and Advocacy, and Maternal Newborn and Child Health teams.
Katy holds an MPP from King’s College London and a BA in Political Science with a minor in sociology from the University of Kansas. Rock Chalk!
