As an Engagement Manager at GHV, Carly works with Program Advocacy and Communications teams at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Within her portfolio, she brings project management and communications expertise including event planning, memo writing, PowerPoint deck creation, and brief development. She has engaged as project manager for multiple high-level events at the United Nations General Assembly, World Bank Spring Meetings, and the World Health Assembly.
Carly’s passion lies in ensuring execution of complex workstreams, coordinating among governments, multilateral institutions, and civil society to reach strategic objectives.
Carly has supported multilateral organizations’ resource mobilization efforts, coordinated donor engagement, and development of civil society advocacy objectives for support of increased or maintained ODA spending. She has also supported the development and execution of a social media roundtable with a co-chair for BMGF and project managed development and deployment of celebrity advocates to maintain momentum around reaching a polio-free world.
She holds a master’s in Social Work from the University of Washington and a BA in Social Welfare and Human Rights. Carly is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer in Rwanda and has lived in the West Bank and Cambodia. She is an avid hiker and dog lover.
