As a senior advisor at GHV, Claire supports the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Global Health Agencies and Funds work, focusing on the Global Financing Facility (GFF) portfolio. Claire brings experience in strategic alignment, stakeholder engagement, grantee support, and program and process management.
Claire has more than 15 years of deep expertise in global health research and program design, implementation, and funding in low- and middle-income countries, specifically in supporting country-led health systems deliver and measure high-quality health services for mothers and newborns.
Before joining GHV, Claire served as a program officer on the BMGF Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Team, where she managed portfolios on measurement and metrics, global leadership, and vulnerable populations.
Claire holds an MPH in health behavior from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and a BA in Politics from Oberlin College. She has lived in Senegal, Zambia, and South Africa and speaks French. She currently resides in Seattle, Washington, with her husband, Paul.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys running outdoors (Seattle weather permitting), photography, learning new skills, and playing games.
