In 2020, GHV worked with the GFF Secretariat and a taskforce of Investors Group representatives, to develop an updated GFF-CSO and youth engagement framework for 2021-25, which was approved by the GFF Investors Group in November 2020. A detailed costing analysis provided concrete data to the GFF Trust Fund Committee to make appropriate resourcing decisions to support the updated framework, including the allocation of USD $6 million in funding for CSOs over two years. In addition, GHV worked closely with the GFF Secretariat in 2021 and 2022 to help develop an initial accountability plan for the updated CSO and youth engagement framework, and to support the GFF Civil Society Coordinating Group in an interim capacity until the GFF was able to select an “NGO Host Organization” to officially take on this role. GHV’s support included facilitating meetings, strategic planning, and development of advocacy priorities among the civil society Steering Committee members, planning and facilitating the annual GFF civil society workshop (virtually in 2021), supporting civil society engagement in the GFF resource mobilization campaign, and facilitating transition and onboarding to the new NGO Host Organization, once selected.
