Meet GHV’s Director of Strategy, Innovation, and Learning, Rahima Dosani. From diagnostics and supply chain to pandemic preparedness, Rahima has deep experience in global health. She leads the Global Health Innovations portfolio, focusing on scaling innovative solutions that drive equity and impact in global health.
With 15 years of experience across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, Rahima specializes in strategic planning, market shaping, and new product introductions. She has worked with organizations including the Gates Foundation to shape strategies that accelerate market access, demand generation, and uptake. Her expertise in partner-facing DEI initiatives ensures that equity remains central to innovation and implementation.
Before joining GHV, Rahima was a senior market access advisor at USAID’s Center for Innovation and Impact in the Global Health Bureau, where she led private sector partnerships and market shaping initiatives to increase access to global health solutions. She also served as Director of Programs on the USAID/ Dept of State COVID-19 task force, overseeing the allocation of 1.2B in funding for the global COVID response. At the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), she partnered with Malawi’s Ministry of Health to introduce the rotavirus vaccine, strengthen vaccine delivery systems, introduce routine viral load testing for HIV, and implement interventions to improve the diagnostics landscape for Malawi. In Myanmar, Rahima helped launch the CHAI Myanmar office and strengthen the TB and MDR-TB diagnostics landscape, gleaning market intelligence to help de-risk market entry for suppliers.
Rahima also brings significant expertise partnering with pharma and diagnostics companies, where she has worked to create partnerships strategies, enhance social impact alignment, and advocate for more R&D funding for global health.
Holding an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MPH from Harvard School of Public Health, Rahima applies a strategic, equity-driven approach to global health challenges. Having lived and worked in Malawi, Myanmar, India, and Pakistan, she understands the complexities of delivering healthcare across diverse settings. Now based in Toronto, Canada, she balances her consulting work with passions for yoga, art, and cooking.
