After 16 years of running and building Global Health Visions, I have some exciting news to share!
I will be taking a sabbatical starting in July. I am so proud of what has been built here at GHV, the work we do, the impact we have, and the incredible individuals who are part of this mighty global team.
Over the past few years, GHV has seen an incredible amount of growth and change. This includes the strengthening of an amazing Leadership and Management team as well as the Operations team, which gives me the confidence and ability to take a break at this time. GHV will be in excellent hands with these value-driven leaders.
In 2008, I founded GHV to create a space where passionate and talented consultants, myself included, could do the work they are committed to and prioritize the well-being of themselves and their families. I am proud that we continue to be a company and team that is committed to well-being as a core priority.
I am particularly grateful for the opportunity to live out these values and take this sabbatical. As I continue to grow as a leader for GHV, I am excited to take a few months off to recharge my battery and refocus my energy on evolving my leadership for our team, for GHV as a social impact company, and for the work we will do for years to come.
During the coming months, I will take the opportunity to RRR: Rest, Reflect, and Regenerate physically and mentally. I will create space that is not consistently filled with obligations so I can see what emerges in terms of ideas and opportunities, many of which I hope to bring back to GHV with me when I return in the fall. I will spend more time with my amazing family, including my husband and three beautiful daughters who have been so supportive as I have built GHV. And I will do some personal work reflecting on my leadership as well as the exciting and emerging opportunities for GHV as a women-owned and operated business having an impact in the world.
My break will begin July 1 with a return to the office directly following the November election, which I will be working hard on as I live in one of ten U.S. districts that will determine control of the House of Representatives.
I am deeply and humbly proud of GHV, a journey that has many years to come. Thank you for your support!
